Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which you may request refunds or cancel your Encryptix subscription. Our goal is to provide fair treatment while protecting the integrity of the service.

2. Free Plan

The Free Plan has no cost and can be canceled anytime without notice or penalty. Upon cancellation:

  • Your account access will be revoked immediately
  • Your data will be deleted after 30 days
  • You can export invoices and customer data before deletion
  • You may reactivate a free account anytime

3. Paid Plans (Professional and Enterprise)

3.1 Refund Policy

7-Day Money Back Guarantee: If you accidentally subscribe to a paid plan and realize it was unintended, you are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of the initial charge.

Refund Eligibility:

  • Refund must be requested within 7 days of subscription date
  • Account must have minimal usage (less than 10 invoices created)
  • Only applicable for accidental duplicate charges or mistaken subscriptions
  • Not applicable for cancellation after 7 days

3.2 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email billing@encryptix.net.in with:

  • Your account email address
  • The transaction ID/invoice number
  • Reason for the refund request

We will review your request within 5 business days and process refunds within 7-10 business days.

3.3 Non-Refundable Scenarios

The following are NOT eligible for refunds:

  • Usage-based charges or overage fees
  • Cancellations requested more than 7 days after subscription
  • Service cancellations due to policy violations
  • Refunds for features not being used

4. Subscription Cancellation

4.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription anytime:

  • Log in to your Encryptix account
  • Navigate to Settings → Subscription
  • Click “Cancel Subscription” button
  • Confirm your cancellation request

4.2 Cancellation Effective Date

When you cancel a subscription, access continues until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for unused portions of the current billing cycle.

4.3 Data Upon Cancellation

Upon cancellation:

  • Your account will transition to Free Plan on the next billing date
  • All your data (invoices, customers, products) remains accessible
  • You have 30 days to download/export all business data
  • After 30 days, archived data is deleted permanently
  • Tax records are retained for 7 years per Indian tax law

5. Downgrade Policy

You can downgrade from Professional or Enterprise to a lower tier anytime:

  • Downgrade takes effect on your next billing date
  • Prorated credits are applied to your next invoice (no cash refunds)
  • If downgrading mid-cycle, the difference is credited to your next bill
  • Example: If you downgrade after 15 days of a 30-day month, you receive 50% credit

6. Reactivation and Re-subscription

If you cancel and wish to reactivate:

  • You can reactivate your account anytime by subscribing again
  • Your archived data will be restored from backups (if available within 90 days)
  • A new subscription will start immediately upon payment
  • Previous invoices and customer records are preserved in archives

7. Payment Processing and Disputes

Chargeback Protection: We work with payment processors to prevent fraud. Disputes or chargebacks may result in account suspension pending investigation.

Failed Payments: If a payment fails:

  • We will attempt to retry for 3 days
  • A notification will be sent to your registered email
  • After 3 failed retries, your account reverts to Free Plan
  • You can retry payment anytime from your billing page

8. Proration and Credits

Prorated credits are calculated as: (Days Remaining / Days in Billing Cycle) × Monthly Fee. Credits are automatically applied to your next invoice and cannot be converted to cash refunds.

9. Special Circumstances

Service Discontinuation: If Encryptix discontinues the service:

  • We will provide 90 days' advance notice
  • Full refunds will be issued for unused subscription time
  • Data export will be provided at no cost

Technical Issues: If you experience critical service interruptions lasting more than 24 hours, please contact support. We may provide service credits on a case-by-case basis.

10. Policy Modifications

We reserve the right to modify this policy with 30 days' notice. Changes apply to new subscriptions immediately; existing subscriptions are grandfathered until the next renewal.
